A member of the elite Raze Program, the Raze Soldier underwent extensive training and genetic enhancement to elevate his combat effectiveness alongside other military volunteers. Considered among the best of the best, he was a highly skilled and effective soldier with a versatile skillset. He was witness to various engagements against the Aliens towards the end of the 4 year conflict in the year 2112, before ultimately being placed into stasis to prevent the advancement of the zombie virus he was infected with. He was removed from stasis 5 years later to combat the resurgent Alien threat as the last surviving member of the program, still infected with the virus, in an effort to save humanity from destruction.
The Raze Soldier was part of the Raze Program, a program developed by the government to genetically train and alter a group of military volunteers and change them into super-soldiers, much like Captain America or the Master Chief.

Personality
In Raze 1, the Raze program was created using an "abandoned" alien factory found on Earth. Enraged, Aliens attacked Earth and humans determined to kill them so they do not spread information. The Raze Soldier, for some reason, was left behind, and was left with a group of marines to defend the Raze Plant.

A man of few words, the Raze Soldier was a competent soldier who relied little on communication. Noticeably more talkative with his original team, the Raze Soldier seemingly became mute after he had been put into stasis for an unknown reason and was never seen verbally communicating with his new team.

Despite being a Human, he displayed great prowess in operating a variety of weaponry and equipment, capable of operating any number of complex Human and Alien weapons with ease. Interestingly, he also seems to display an excellent sense of intuition, as after he was withdrawn from stasis he was capable of expertly operating the new and unfamiliar weapons effective immediately.
Then, in the last few levels of Raze 1, the whole Raze program were infected by a zombie virus from "The Box" sent by aliens.

First seen arriving to help defend a critical Toxic Power Plant from Alien invaders, the Raze Soldier manages to successfully push back the aliens with the help of his teammates - fellow Raze soldiers Cpt. Simmons, Pvt. Miller and Pvt. Richards - and expel them from the facility after an unsuccessful counterattack. Shortly after this, the Raze Soldier is separately assigned to ensure the safe transport of a shipment of combat robots to assist in the fight against Aliens. However, due to a programming error, all but one of the robots malfunction and begin attacking each other, jeopardising the safety of the original prototype and forcing the Raze Soldier to destroy the robots in order to ensure it's wellbeing.
  +
  +
With the safe delivery of the robot shipment completed, the Raze Soldier is then assigned to guaranteeing Sgt. Johnson's survival in a decrepit city after the extinction of his squad. Upon arrival, it's evident the Raze Soldier and Johnson are outnumbered by the greater Alien numbers. Despite this, however, the two manage to overcome the overwhelming odds and eliminate the threat to Johnson's life, only for it to be in vain as the Aliens deployed a mysterious virus that reanimated the dead bodies in the area, increasing their strength and durability at the severe cost of their intelligence. After narrowly managing to survive long enough to extract Sgt. Johnson, the Raze Soldier is re-joined by Cpt. Simmons' team and equipped with experimental new armour to provide an equal resistance to damage similar to the zombies.

Following a fierce engagement, the team cleans out the undead threat and the Raze Soldier is once again separately reassigned to conduct a raid on an Alien Cargo Ship transporting invasion supplies en-masse to Earth. Provided with sophisticated robot reinforcements, he boards the ship in an attempt to neutralise the crew and steal the cargo. The action goes South, however, when his robots are destroyed, prompting Simmons, Miller and Richards to insert onto the ship and back him up. Resulting in a protracted engagement, the Raze Soldier and his teammates manage to whittle down the defending crew. With the defenders eliminated, the Raze Soldiers confiscate the supplies and load them onto their own transport ship, linking back up with Sgt. Johnson as they travel back to Earth.
  +
  +
Their journey is cut short, however, as the Aliens tracked down and intercepted the transport vessel, boarding it and engaging the Raze Soldier and his teammates while discreetly inserting the zombie virus on-board. Though the team managed to successfully defeat the raid without any casualties, everyone but the Raze Soldier was infected with the virus and transformed into a zombie. Regretfully, the Raze Soldier was forced to kill his former teammates, resulting in him being the only surviving member of his team.

Having to returned to Earth shortly after, it was discovered that the Alien leader had deployed to the Toxic Plant the Raze Soldier had defended earlier. Travelling there, the Raze Soldier confronted the Supreme Commander of the Alien forces attacking Earth in a one-on-one battle in an effort to critically cripple the invasion force and force them to retreat. After a long and exhaustive battle, the Raze Soldier successfully defeated the Alien leader and prompted a desperate retreat from the invasion.

With the Alien threat eliminated and the safety of Earth guaranteed, it seemed likely that a time of peace was set to emerge. However, the Raze Soldier was unaware that he had actually been infected by the zombie virus in his engagement with the aliens on the transport ship, despite his prior belief he had made it out uninfected. It's unclear why the virus was slow to develop in him when it was almost instantaneous in others, but as a result of this, he and several others infected with the virus were placed in stasis until a cure could be found. Additionally, the zombie virus the aliens had unleashed persisted on Earth, continuing to infect individuals and create new conflicts, causing civilian life to destabilise. While humanity continued to fight to eradicate the zombies, it's likely this is where the Raze Program was made almost extinct, with the Raze Soldier being it's last remaining member.

5 years after the conclusion of the original conflict, a resurgent Alien invasion threatened Earth unanticipated once again, initiating a new conflict. In spite of the fact a cure for the zombie virus had not yet been found, the Raze Soldier was extracted from stasis, in the hopes he could accomplish his mission before the virus took him over, and briefed on the new Alien threat. Quickly reinstated and certified for action, he was reinstructed on the basics of his equipment by Johnny Rockit, the highest ranking field officer in the area, as he directed him out of the training compound in an attempt to safely exfiltrate from the area. However, their escape was interrupted as a large missile collided with the nearby city, causing substantial damage to the training compound and paving the way for Alien invasion ships to fill the sky. After being instructed on the use of field abilities, the Raze Soldier and Rockit proceeded to escape into an enclosed yard where they were confronted by a multitude of Aliens soldiers. As he is being relayed his ship's damage report, the ship is is attacked and boarded by Alien soldiers. Forced to defend his cargo from the invaders alongside a small detail of security robots, he determines that it's imperative he warn the people of Earth of the impending threat the Aliens pose once again. After defeating the Alien soldiers, he discovers a strange glow amid the wreckage of the ship. Investigating, he finds it to be a collection of small, alien artefacts, capable of producing an impenetrable shield that shielded them from the destruction around the ship. Incapable of fitting them inside his escape pod, he placed them somewhere safe to be recovered at a later date and left for Earth.
